Kinds of love

Love.... It's a perfect word that has magical power. There are so many adjectives to define love. For example, all-embracing love, tender love, helpful love, crazy love.

When we say a word "love", the first association that appears is love to husband or wife. But people can feel love not only to husbands and wives, but also to parents, children, family, animals, nature, and motherland. Absolute love, unrequited love, unisexual sex, Platonic love, maternal bond, romantic love, friendship, religious love etc are the kinds of love. All of them are based on attraction to some object.

Absolute love means the love of a person to everything that surrounds him/her without conditions and without a desire to receive something from it. This kind of love is considered to be the base of many religions and is consider being the form of the person's self perfection.

Unrequited love is love when one person feels strong emotional attraction to another person but doesn't receive it back. Manifestations of this love can be different. Sometimes this love can be used with personal aims as well as for manipulation. Sometimes the result of such love can be depression and in rare cases suicide. This love was described in many masterpieces of the classical literature, poetry, and other kinds of arts.

Unisexual love — is the attraction of the person to another one of the same gender. This kind of love is vividly discussed in the society and some people consider that this kind of love has no right for existence.

Platonic love is close relations between two people without sex. These relations existed by the reason of the inability to have sex connected with the health, or with the ability to have sex but with the absence of desire. Some people considered this kind of love to be based on flirt; others consider it to be the mystical feeling that appears between two people.

Maternal bond is the relationship between a mother and a child. It can not only be a child that was born by this woman but also adopted child.

Romantic love is the kind of love noticed in the people's society and reflected in literature and arts. This kind of love is accompanied with romantic acts.

Friendship. It is very difficult to say if it is a kind of love, because this problem is still discussed. Friendship is relationship between people that is based on trust, sympathy, mutual interests and hobbies. Very often friendship is the base of love.

Love or Charity in Christian theology means absolute love to everything and everybody. It is also one of the virtues together with hope and faith.
